Thinking of coming? We’d love to meet you!

Visiting any church can be a difficult experience. We would like to set you at ease. Our goal is that your first visit to Central Baptist Church would be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for the whole family! We want you to experience worshipful music, practical teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a genuine sense of being “at home.” If there is anything we can do to make your visit more comfortable, please let us know!

Where do I go?

We meet at Central Baptist Church (6659 US-63, Houston, MO 65483) located just off of Hwy 63, south of Houston. Pull up to the front, drop off other riders, and find a spot in the parking area.

What time does church start?

We meet for Bible study from 9:30am to 10:30am. After that, the main worship service is from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Come a few minutes early to get the kids checked into Kid’s Church, grab a cup of coffee, and get a first time visitors gift bag!

9:30 is early, do you have coffee?

We’ve got you covered! We’ve got coffee and donuts rotating through – occasionally accompanied by homemade biscuits and gravy! Feel free to get some of ours or bring your own.

How should I dress?

Wear what you’re comfortable in! Some people choose to wear dresses and khakis or slacks, while others choose to wear their jeans and T-shirts. Come as you are!

Can my kids come?

Absolutely! We have classrooms available for children ages birth to 5th grade. Come in the main entrance and our Kids Ministry team will greet you with a smiling face and help get your kids checked in for the right class. Children are welcome into the worship service as well. On months that have a fifth Sunday, we have kid-friendly crafts and colored pencils available, if you’re interested.

Children are a blessing – not a distraction. Please ask one of our team if you have any questions or needs!

What is the worship music like?

We believe that Heaven will be a glorious celebration of every tribe, nation, and culture singing out God’s glory! We endeavor to reflect that in our worship services. We sing a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary music.

Are you going to ask for any money?

No. We don’t invite you here for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as our guest. We don’t even pass around an offering plate. If you would like to give to Central, we have secure boxes located in the main auditorium and fellowship hall for you to place your offering.

Do you have activities for teenagers?

On Sundays, we invite all teens to join us for the main worship service. They can worship with their family or next to their friends. On Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm, teens (Grades, 6-12th) are invited to join us in the worship and then for the youth group upstairs. Our youth group is centered around Biblical teaching presented in a personal way that youth can understand.
